Don't Forget Me (25)

It was day one of our adventure week and I couldn't sleep from the excitement.

It was almost 6 PM, and Zaid said he was going to pick me up since the place we were going to was far away. I was a bit uncomfortable with the idea but I kept telling myself that it was Zaid, and there wasn't anything to be afraid of. If anything, he was the only person I could open up and speak freely to without worried about him judging me or being sensitive to anything I said like Lulu and Sarah for instance.

I wore black leggings, my Addidas sport shoes, a gray knit sweater with a colorful necklace and lifted the sides of my hair up in a half-do. I wore a bit of eyeliner and a light lipstick plus my favorite blush that gave me a lively look even though I was so alive I could barely contain my excitement.

My phone buzzed and my heart began to beat rapidly as I left my bed room while I texted him I'd be down in a second.

"Yallah ray7a?" my mom asked me.

"Ee yuma," I said with a smile as I kissed her forehead. I'd told her I was going out with my friend Layal from college. I felt bad but I couldn't really tell her the truth, and I knew it meant a lot to Zaid for me to cancel, I'd never seen him this excited before and it was a great distraction for him.

I ran down the stairs and outside the house where I found him parked in the side of the road in his Aston Martin.

I smiled as I quickly got in the front seat.

"Ahlan," he said with a dimple-featured smile. He wore a plain navy pullover and jeans, while his dark hair was pulled back away from his face that really featured his dark eyes and thick lashes. I couldn't believe this was true that I could barely speak.

"Zahba?" he said as I buckled my seatbelt. My stomach was in knots right now.

"Ee yallah," I told him with a smile and we drove out of my house.

The music filled the silence between us but once we were in the highway he began to tease me a bit by speeding the car up up suddenly to which I'd beg him to slow down. The car roared as we accelerated and I found myself stuck to my seat as I yelled at him to slow down.

"Zaid bas!" I'd scream, my laughter making it seem that I was not serious.

"Shfeech Omniyah, hathi brova akhaf hawantay!" he said as he laughed.

"9ij bnrou7 ilmadeena iltarfeehiya bas that's enough for me ma7taj brova!" I told him as I laughed and held on to my seatbelt. He laughed some more.

We finally arrived to Entertainment City, and it being a weekday, it was pretty empty. We parked close by to the entrance and got our tickets. I was kind of freaked out about seeing anyone I knew but it was Entertainment City, and I didn't think anyone would really go there.

"Yallah?" Zaid said as he waited for me to enter the park first.

"Ay ride enrou7?" he asked as he looked around.

"Kaifik," I said. I knew he couldn't get on every ride because of his leg, but that didn't matter to me.

"Tabeen ilroller coaster?" he asked as he wiggled his eyebrows. I laughed and nodded.

We walked next to each other to the roller coaster and I avoided the looks of judgmental mothers and teenage girls, but it didn't matter to me.

"Shakhbari," I said as I looked at the ride while we waited in the queue.

"7ail," he agreed with me as he looked at me, god he looked so handsome. I smiled softly.

I could sense the girls behind me whisper about us so I turned my head to them and they stopped talking. I turned to see Zaid laughing out loud at my reaction so I began to laugh too and the girls behind us whispered "il7mdillah welshkr" which made us laugh even more. We began to cry from laughing so hard over basically nothing. I hadn't laughed this hard in forever.

We finally got on the two seats of the ride and my stomach began to grow butterflies.

"Zahba?" he asked as he smiled while tugging on his safety restraint. I shook my head and he chuckled.

"Lat7ateen, ay shay y9eer feech y9eer feeni," he said with a chuckle and I kind of felt better.

The roller coaster began to move and I gripped the metal bars on my safety restraints.

"Bad idea, ha?" Zaid said as we went up and up the roller coaster. I laughed.

"7asbali you're my support!" I said as he laughed.

We reached the peak of the roller coaster and I gripped the metal bars so hard my hands hurt. The drop commenced and my stomach rose to my throat as I screamed my lungs out, and I could sense Zaid laughing next to me, either at the ride or at my reaction.

"Zaid allah ysam7ik!" I said as the ride sped up into sharp twists and turns and he could only laugh. I was so happy he was laughing, and I hadn't heard him laugh so much.

The ride finally ended and I could still see him smiling, and I smiled at his reaction. I'd go on this roller coaster again if it meant making him happy.

I gave him his cane and helped him out the ride as we walked outside.

"Ha shrayich feeha?" he asked me, running a hand through his thick hair.

"Itkhari3!" I exclaimed, as if it was an obvious answer, and he laughed.

"Yallah shnu next?" he asked me. I shrugged.

"Your call," I replied.

He raised a brow and damn he looked good doing it. "My call? Mt2akda?"

I laughed. "Ee, I still trust you."

He smiled, "yallah."

We walked and got on a ride that consisted of small rockets that would spin in circles. We thought it was stupid but we got in anyway and were extremely and very surprised that it spun so fast we nearly threw up.

We passed by il9a7an, and he asked me if I wanted to get on it, but I shook my head and told him I hated it. And it was true. I fell on it once and bumped my head on the bar that I nearly passed out and got a really bad bruise the next day.

"Li3ba maleeqa bas widdich bl sayarat?" he asked me about the bumper cars. I laughed.

"Tkfa latgoul maleeqa wala nin9idim mara thanya," I said and he laughed. We stood in line and the same girls from the roller coaster stood behind us, much to their dismay and Zaid and I managed to not laugh at their reaction.

"Asfa fee shay?" I asked one of the girls. I didn't usually talk to strangers but I was so tempted.

The girls ignored me and I turned to look at Zaid who was obviously hiding his laughter and I wanted to punch him so bad to stop making me laugh.

"Bad3imich 3adil btt7asifain," he told me, kind of loud for the girls to hear. I knew Zaid was kind of serious and didn't really like talking when it wasn't necessary so he was doing this to either mess with them or make me laugh. I bit my laughter and I could sense the girls whisper again that I burst out laughing and Zaid began to laugh too.

We finally got in the car, and apparently the girls were too annoyed with us that they left the ride so it was just us two on the ride.

"Tara I meant it," Zaid said as he wiggled his eyebrows. He put his cane aside and limped to the nearest car, it was hard to watch since he broke my heart but I was getting used to it over time.

"Yallah, show me," I taunted back with a daring smile.
