Guess who's back!

Before you start reading the post I really need you to read this little note before you dive into my new (and very overdue) story.
Since I want to be a bit more involved in social media I have decided to upload new posts of this story on my Snapchat first then upload the new posts to this blog the next day. So it goes like this:

September 7th, 2016....

"وين مريم عيل؟"

Asked Sarah, one of my close friends as she stirred her iced latte. Sarah and two other of my close friends were standing at the corner of our favorite coffee place, waiting for an empty table as our "secret" place wasn't a secret anymore. Our usual table was taken and I was pissed. It was our table. 

There were circles of people waiting around too, and I could see a group obviously talking about either us or the group of girls next to us. One of them was cute, unfortunately and I could feel his eyes land on mine. I looked away immediately; I was not that kind of girl. 

"Parking,"

Danah, one of my other close friends said as she leaned against the wall and scrolled through her phone, running a hand through her pixie short hair that suited her fair skin and sharp features. 

"انزين يا جماعة ترى تعبت من الوقفة"

I complained, tucking a loose strand of my light ombre hair behind my ears. 

"كاهم قامو، يالله بسرعة قبل لا آحد ياخذها"

Lulu, our other friend said as she hugged her Chanel bag and ran for the table. I spotted a group of guys heading towards the table too but stopped as Lulu placed her bag on the center of it. She was a small girl with big curly hair that made her look cute enough to pull off running through a busy cafe to reserve a table. 

"صج خبة هالبنت" 

Danah said as we walked through the crowd to the table. I knew almost all eyes were on us as we walked to the table; envy or lust it depended on who wanted what. I knew I looked exceptionally good today; I was dressed in an olive green jumpsuit that brought out the fresh tan I'd just gotten. My shoulder-length ombre hair was perfectly curled at the end and my makeup was simple enough to highlight my large brown eyes and full lips. My arms and neck were decorated with stacks of gold bracelets and necklaces. 

I sat on my usual chair with a smile; we were back to normal. Mariam greeted us hastily as she sat at her usual chair in front of me, looking gorgeous in a plain white top that I know cost her at least 80KD; like Lulu, the girl only wore designer items. She checked on her makeup quickly in her phone's screen before calling the waiter we were familiar with, Robbie, to take her usual order. 

"Danah," Sarah said as she nudged Danah, who looked busy on one of her two phones. 

"انزين شفيج لحظة," Danah said as she typed. Designer Danah, I was so happy for her. She became a sought-out designer just months after starting her business. She designed everything; clothes, events, she was pretty much the most talented person I know. The only downside was she rarely had time for our usual coffee dates anymore and I barely ever saw her. 

 "بموبايل رفيجها her best friend امبيه فجر صج سالفة ياسمين؟ ان لقت صورة "
 Lulu whispered to us, flicking her curly hair behind as she leaned in towards the table. 

Danah scoffed. 

"هي غبية يعني قايلينلها ان عنده سوالف بعد لا تسوي نفسها مصدومة"

"دندون ترى ما ارضى"
I said half teasingly about my future sister-in-law. Truthfully, Yasmine, a college friend of mine, was the one who introduced me to her brother, my partner of a year and a half. I wouldn't call him my boyfriend, as we just talked without any of the other things, as much as he wanted to go beyond that but stopped because I wasn't that open about it. What mattered was that he was mine and I was his.

"انزين بس صج؟"
Lulu continued, still interested and I nodded.

"قلتلكم"
 Danah said, raising her brows and smiled her "I told you so" smile.

"لا تنسون عازمتننا على شاليهها يوم اليمعة"
I told them.

"شاليهم يعقد واي فجور يا حظج"
Mariam said and I smiled.

I sipped on my latte as our conversation was cut by a girl who looked to be about sixteen.

"Danah hi!" she said to Danah, kissing her on both cheeks. She was accompanied by another girl her age who looked familiar, though I wasn't sure who she was.

"Hi shlounkum?" she said to the rest of us, she looked so cute and pretty.

"Hi," we all said back, smiling at her. The girl next to her looked so uncomfortable and awkward as she obviously tried not to look at us. She didn't know where to look.

"دندون يالله متى تيين الضاحية؟ فاقدينج"
The first girl said, she looked way better than I did at her age.

"soon ادري والله بس ان شاء الله"
Danah replied.

"see you خوش عيّل"
The girl said before she walked away.

"منو هذي؟"
Mariam asked, running a hand through her long dark hair.

"My cousin Rawan," Danah replied.

"حدها تشوّق"
I said.

"منو اللي يمها؟"
Sarah asked.

"رفيجتها على ما اظن"
Danah replied as she took a sip of her coffee.

"awkward شكلها حيل"
Lulu said with a chuckle, reading my mind and saying thoughts I felt bad about confessing. 

I decided to change the subject and took a quick snap of all our hands (with our nails painted of course) holding our cups of coffee and captioned it with "traditions" and posted it on my story. 

"ويع ليش ايدي جذي"
 Mariam said as she waved her phone in front of me.

"جنه ايدج متنت؟"

Sarah joked, running a hand through her chocolate brown hair and Mariam nudged her jokingly.

"Sarah I love your contour mashallah," I said and she beamed. I loved her facial structure; sharp cheekbones and a round feminine jaw. Her nose was delicate and small, and thank god for lip fillers for filling up her once non-existent lips. 

"Thank you, 7abeebty!" she said and I smiled back.

My phone buzzed on the table and I smiled.

"منووو؟"
Lulu teased as she wiggled her brows. Even if it had been a year of getting to know him, I still blushed whenever the girls teased me about him or mentioned his name.

Khalid: ha 7ayaate wainich??

Me: ahlaain love, it's wednesday nisaait??

Khalid: oh 9aa7. shloun ilbanat?

Me: good wallah ysalmoun 3alaik;p

Khalid: haha salmay 3alaihom

"خالد يسلم عليكم"
I told them, feeling heat rush through my face.

"الله يسلمه"
They said in unison, wooing at me and I blushed.

Everything was going perfectly.
Until he came into my life...
